Why is the recalibration required with my windshield replacement?

Because your front camera is moved during the windshield replacement, it must be recalibrated. If it’s even a few millimeters off, your safety systems (ADAS) might not function as intended.

Our service center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to recalibrate your front camera and ensure the continued reliability of the advanced driver-assistance systems.

3 Ways of Recalibrating a Camera

1. A Static Calibration is performed at our service center, using fixed devices installed around the vehicle and aligned to targets via lasers while the vehicle is parked.

2. To perform a Dynamic Camera Recalibration the vehicle is driven at a specific speed and road conditions as prescribed by the vehicle manufacturer. Some of the conditions require, not driving into direct sunlight, having clear painted lane markings, as well as no snow or rainy conditions.

3. A Universal Recalibration combines both Static and Dynamic recalibrations. They must be completed within a specified time frame, which can vary from one manufacturer to another. This entire process can take up to several hours to complete.
